About us

We love all kinds of cycling.

At Drop Bar, we love all kinds of cycling. We decided to focus on drop bar bikes in our new Squamish store, because we recognized the community is very MTB focused. We love mountain bikes too, but wanted to open the eyes of local riders to even more possibilities. The Sea to Sky corridor has massive gravel, cyclocross, bike packing and even road riding opportunities, if you have an adventurous spirit and know where to look. Start your next bike adventure with us.

Who we are

Drop Bar was created by Anne-Marie Gagnon, founder of the successful Giant Vancouver and Liv Vancouver bike stores, along with co-owners Brad Collins, Andrew Dineen & Tennessee Mayer. Anne-Marie grew up in the sports retail industry and is incredibly knowledgeable and professional when it comes to offering customers the best experience and service. Brad and Andrew both have extensive bike shop know-how and are equally keen about bikes and helping others get stoked on riding.

Why Drop Bar?

We really enjoy riding road and gravel, racing cyclocross, bike packing and touring. We also have a love of high quality clothing, parts and accessories and superior brands with cool factor. Basically, Drop Bar Cycles is our dream shop, as we’ve curated it with only products we choose to use ourselves.

Why Squamish?

The warehouse for the Vancouver stores where bikes are serviced and assembled has been located in Squamish for a few years, so we already had a space and a connection to the community. Customers were travelling to Vancouver from the Sea to Sky to visit Giant and Liv Vancouver, so we knew a demand existed in this booming region. It’s the perfect time to open a store based on our favourite types of riding, selling our preferred brands in an outdoor adventure paradise. Drop Bar Cycles is our chance to share our enthusiasm for bike adventuring with you!

Come say “Hi”!

We can’t wait to meet more like-minded bike nuts, chat all things two wheels over a cup of coffee and get active in the community by organizing weekly rides, supporting local events and sharing experiences.
